This blog was inspired by the Faces of Meth website. Just as that website shows pictures meant to shock and educate about the very real side of meth, this site is intended to show another public health risk: Pro-Ana sites and communities. Wikipedia says, "Pro-ana refers to the promotion or support of anorexia nervosa as a lifestyle choice rather than an eating disorder. We hope this site does shock and scare, as Pro-Ana should be a grave concern, but also informs. Welcome to Faces of Pro-Ana.
this is completely stupid. there is so many overweight people's pictures who youve put up and some other pictures of people who are obviously not anorexic. I understand what your trying to do here but you could have at least used pictures of actual emaciated people. Anorexia is a serious disease and pro-ana websites are a support network for sufferers. It's the stupid tweens who see nicole ritchie and miley cyrus and want to get anorexia. Now THATS what you should be wasting you time on. what celebrities think of people who arn't suffereing from anorexia but are saying that they are.
So if you want to do something helpfull and productive for "ana" then get the stupid WANNAREXICS shipped OUT of our sites. don't go putting them up on yours because now they'll think that their "cool" because their picture is on an anorexic site.

A lot of these girls don't look frightening or sick or anorexic at all - you can't really tell their weight because so many are face shots.
What exactly are you trying to prove here?
